Established in 2009, the Jasmine Directory features a full complement of topical categories, including a regional tree, its main-level categories being Arts & Humanities, Business & Finance, Computers & Technology, Health & Fitness, Home & Garden, Internet & Marketing, Kids & Teens, Leisure & Travel, News & Politics, People & Society, Recreation & Sports, Regional, Science & Reference, and Shopping & E-commerce.
Categories and subcategories include uniquely authored and informative category descriptions, situated to the left of the category listings. Its listings may be located by browsing the directory’s categories and subcategories, through an alphabetical category list, or through an in-site search field.
Sites submitted to the directory are subject to review and modification, and there are two options, both fee-based, and both for permanent listings. For $59, a standard listing permits no deep links and is listed beneath express listings, which cost $89 and allows up to five deep links. Its editorial and submission guidelines are posted clearly. A standard listing includes a unique review of up to 100 words, while an express listing includes a 300-word review.
Rejected submissions are posted, along with the reasons for rejection. Newly listed sites are highlighted in a separate area, and a blog is included.
