EIA is a database of professional events and trade shows in the United States and Canada, listing show managers, exhibitors and attendees, professional speakers, event planners, suppliers and venue operators, exhibitor-appointed contractors, and catering to event planning firms, advertising agencies, PR firms, trade show managers, government agencies, corporations, entrepreneurs, and anyone who wants to find opportunities to sell and promote products or services.

Upcoming events that are listed in the Events in America directory are accessible through interactive calendars, one for on-site events, the other for online events. Events and event resources may also be found through an on-site search, which may include a number of variables.

There is no cost to list an event, which may include details about the show, including a lengthy description, the names of exhibitors, costs associated with exhibits, photographs, and other resources.

There is also no cost to add a Convention and Visitors Bureau listing, which may include details of the venue, photographs, and meeting room information.
