Aviva Directory

Full Description

Owned by Behrendt Professional Corporation, and based in Ottawa, Canada, the Aviva Directory is a family-friendly, general web directory, established in 2005, which employs a team of editors who add useful content to the directory, cull dead links from its pages, and who seek to ensure the good quality of its categories and listed websites, and to maintain the integrity of the directory.

Its top-level categories include Arts & Literature, Business & Industry, Computers & Internet, Faith & Spirituality, Health & Well-Being, History & Genealogy, Local & Global, People & Daily Life, Politics & Government, Reference & News, Science & Technology, Shopping & eCommerce, Sports & Recreation, and Travel & Tourism. Each of the directory’s categories include informative descriptions, and its Local and Global categories comprise a full-featured regional tree. The Aviva Blog Directory is also available, but in a subdomain that is also listed in our directory of directories. Other pages include an About page, privacy policy, terms, contact form, testimonials, and information about its affiliate program.

Aviva Directory’s submission plans are fee-based, and include both annual and permanent options, offering submission fees of $49.95 per year or $149.95 for a permanent listing. Descriptions are limited to five hundred characters, and sites should be submitted to the most appropriate subcategory of the directory. Subpages are accepted as long as they are appropriate for the category and contains sufficient content. A synopsis of the Aviva Directory’s submission guidelines is posted on the directory’s submission page.

Other features of Aviva Directory include readings on a variety of topics, including tips for people hoping to start a business buying and selling Internet domains, starting a successful blog launch, and cheaply branding a startup business. A new feature of the directory are articles that are published on corresponding category pages, four of which are randomly highlighted on the index page.
